Using Keyword Anchor Text To Attract Search Engines

February 4th, 2009 | by admin |

For anyone who has been doing search engine marketing for very long this is not new, but it’s worth writing a short post about for anyone starting out.

We all know getting found by the search engines is how the traffic gets to our sites. The most effective way is Keyword Anchor Text. Before leaving a comment on a blog or even micro blogging on twitter do some keyword research on wordtracker or any of the other KW tools out their. Use the KW’s you find as text links to guide users were you want to send them.

Keyword Anchor Text is how the search engines find your sites as well. When a SE crawls a site it looks for keywords. When it finds a link with keywords it will follow the link to see whats their. So if you use a highly searched for word as your text and link it back to your site you develop back links.

Now their is a debate going on about how much back links are helping with Google Page Rank, but the power of back links can’t be ignored. The more the better IMO and using Keywords as your anchor text will give you a nice boost.
