Latest BANS Updates Include A Big Hammer

August 13th, 2008 | by admin |

For anyone who already uses Build A Niche Store full time you have probably already read the Email the Bans Developer sent today. And if you are researching BANS thinking of getting it this is good news. The Bans forum is the backbone of the Build A Niche Store Concept. Over time the community of BANS users  has grown from about 4000 when I started to around 10′000 members registered on the forum now. The growth is directly related to success stories like mine and some very smart Web Masters that volunteer there time on the forum.

But over the last several month’s with the growth the forum has lost authority. Why do I say this ? because the forum has gone from 99% usful information to advertisements cloaked as discussions and some really rude responses like RTFM directed at newer novice users. What some users don’t seem to understand is thats what the forum is for. Novice Web Masters.

The BANS developers are implementing some rules, They are basically No Advertising/ SPAM and a Zero Tolerance Policy for users who flame, disrespect anyone. As far as the SPAM go’s all they had to do is turn off the option in the forum.

As for being respectful here what is a paragraph that was in today’s portion of the email. This is the Hammer!

“Questioning and hence learning is an acceptable (necessary) part of making progress and posts which aim to attack, belittle, undermine etc other BANS users will not be tolerated and there will be no second chances given to people who post with such attitudes.

Such forum members will simply be deleted and BANS life will continue on without them”

From everything I read the changes should greatly improve the BANS brand and add value. BANS is marketed towards novice site builders and providing constructive help to it’s newest users will insure the strength of bans in the Niche Store Building market. INMO this is the best time to join because the whole site is going to be new with only relevant content without ads which should be conducive to learning the process of making money on the Internet

We also received a preview of the new site today. 13 new forum categories with sub categories. Also you can expect lots of new resources and updates to the download center.
